PORCCH is a series of interactive e-learning modules designed for patients and families, researchers, clinicians, trainees, and anyone interested in learning more about patient-oriented research in child health.

www.porcch.ca Current PORCCH modules: Research 101, Part 1: What is Health Research and Who is Involved? Research 101 is primarily designed for patients and families. Part 1 provides an overview of patient-oriented research and the key players involved.
Research 101, Part 2: Timeline of a Research Study The second part of Research 101 (also primarily for patients and families) describes the stages of a research study, how patients and families can get involved in each stage, and the challenges and benefits of patient-oriented child health research.
Patient Engagement 101, Part 1: Foundations of Patient Engagement Patient Engagement 101 is primarily designed for clinicians, researchers, and trainees. It may also be of interest to patients and families after they complete Research 101. This module provides a summary of key concepts in effective patient and family engagement in child health research.
Patient Engagement 101, Part 2: Patient Engagement in Practice The second part of Patient Engagement 101 (also primarily for clinicians, researchers, and trainees) covers practical aspects of patient and family engagement in health research, various methods of patient engagement, and some challenges of patient engagement.
Research Ethics 101This module will provide a general introduction to research ethics and highlight some ethical issues in patient-oriented research. It is primarily intended for patients and families but can be taken by anyone interested in learning more about the topic.
